Below is the second installment from Bree and Daniels fall 2010 wedding. This gorgeous wedding took place in the quant little town of Ionia, MI at the First United Methodist Church. From there the it was on to the Lansing Country Club for a first class celebration. Be sure to check out Bree’s super cool, custom made blue and orange Nike shoes designed to cheer on her favorite Detroit Tiger with a “GO DANIEL” Monagram. Some of these other people look familiar? Daniel’s dad is ESPN Commentator, and 3 time Superbowl Champion Mark Schlereth. Other recognizable faces include Daniel’s sister, actress Alexandra Schlereth, and former Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Clay Zavada.

We hope you enjoy a peek at this beautiful day that was filled with tons of love and emotion. The pictures of Bree’s dad when he sees her for the first time are especially moving, (I love that moment). Check back soon for some great fun filled images from the reception.

As the fall days get a little more crisp and cool, and Thanksgiving approaches, warm weather things like trips to the beach, baseball, and weddings start to slow down for the year. But, what happens when you are marrying a professional ball player. A beautiful November wedding. This week approaches the one year anniversary of Bree and Daniel Schlereth. If you are a fan of Professional Baseball (and after this season, who in the state of Michigan isn’t?) you’ll recognize Daniel’s name. He is a relief pitcher for the Detroit Tigers with a powerful right arm and an equally great sense of humor.

Daniel and his beautiful bride Bree were married an a brisk fall day in Ionia Michigan at the same church that both Bree’s Parents and Grandparents were married at. This fun loving couple was surrounded by family and friends who flew in from all over the country to share in their special day.

With so many fun details at this wedding, we will be breaking this blog segment into 4 posts. First up, the Rehearsal Dinner. This was a baseball themed dinner complete with ball park favorite foods like hot dogs, nachos, chicken wings and more. Other fun touches included: a stunning cake styled after Comerica Park , baseball centerpieces, tee-Shirts that were monogrammed Fifty 5 (Daniels #), and ball and glove cookies to complete the theme . A great time was had by all at this “pre-game” celebration.

Things were heating up in the Capital City for this georgeous Lansing wedding. Coming in from the Sunshine State of Florida, Peter & Kari seemed to bring the weather with them on this hot but beautiful summer day. The wedding was at the quaint and elegant Alumni Chapel at MSU, with the reception following at he Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. The bright and festive tropical palette set the tone for this fun and fabulous day. The reception even had a surprise guest when Sparty showed up to help clebrate.

We had a great time photographing Jason & Elizabeth’s wedding. Though the day was filled with cloudy skies and drizzle it couldn’t dampen the love and excitement of this very special day. It was a great day filled with the love of family and friends.

We are sincerely flattered at just how many of you follow the blog. After many requests for new blog entries, and even a couple of ” Are you still shooting weddings, we weren’t sure because your blog hasn’t changed in forever” questions, it became clear we had to get back in the proverbial saddle, or rather back to the coffee and writer’s cramps. In in all sincerity, we never left, we have just been extremely busy working on photos of our amazing couples, and implementing some exciting new changes to dramatically improve your online experience, from a new website and blog, to a much requested new (and greatly improved) easy to use proofing and order fulfillment system along with 8 different weekly promotions aimed at helping you stretch that print credit further than ever, all coming your way this fall.

Calling All Loons…

There’s a lot going on here in the hollow! Many new things to come this summer…BUT, we don’t want to ruin the surprises! First up, calling all loons! Loon Lake is expanding and looking for an addition to the team! We are looking for an associate to photograph on their own starting in the 2012 season, but can train with us this year. We’ll do all the editing, just need you to capture the day. So many things to love about this wedding. Great couple, beautiful fall day, amazing vendors, and a really fun group of family and friends help to make up this fabulous celebration. After a lovely ceremony at St Catherine of Siena Catholic Parish, it was off to Milham Park, and Downtown Kalamazoo for some photos with the bridal party. After that, it was celebration time so we headed to Cityscape Events for a night of food, drink, dancing and fun, complete with some fun traditions from Kevin and his fraternity brothers. We had a great time.
